Type 2 diabetes symptoms are mostly not transparent to a patient being subjected to it. This is because the type 2 diabetes symptoms may or may not manifest clearly at the beginning stages. Excessive thirst and appetite, unusual fatigue, erectile dysfunction in men, increase in the rate of recurrence of urination, longer periods of time for healing of cuts & wounds are the initial type 2 diabetes symptoms. With the passing of time and if appropriate medical intervention is not paid heed for the type 2 diabetes symptoms then the disease may take a serious turn. These could include problems in the eyes (retinopathy), kidney (nephropathy), gum infections, problems in the feet and hands, neuropathy, and the circulatory system ultimately leading even to cardiac problems. To understand the cause of diabetes type 2 one must first be clear about the disease of diabetes type 2. It occurs mostly in the adult stage due to a dysfunction of insulin hormone as a result of which the body cannot respond appropriately to it making it impossible to convert the blood glucose to energy. Another reason is when the pancreas produces less than sufficient amounts of insulin to do its job. Nephrogenic diabetes insipidus refers to a dysfunction of the kidney due to which it is not able to conserve or retain water as per its normal capacity. A patient having nephrogenic diabetes insipidus suffers from polyuria and polydipsia.
